AMREI has conducted successfully two important steps on commissioning, namely refractory dry out and steam blowing.
Refractory dry out is the controlled process of applying heat to a refractory lining to remove water from the internal insulation system of gasifier, oxidizer and boiler.
This process is also called refractory bake out. The purpose of steam line blowing is to remove pipe slag, weld bead deposits and other foreign material from the main steam systems.
Start of hot commissioning with waste materials is now one step nearer.
